CHRISTMAS FEAST, CHRISTMAS DAY & NEW YEAR’S BOOKINGS

THANK YOU FOR BOOKING WITH US FOR YOUR CHRISTMAS CELEBRATION. TO MAKE SURE YOUR EVENT IS AS SUCCESSFUL AS POSSIBLE THE BELOW TERMS AND CONDITIONS WILL APPLY TO YOUR BOOKING. PLEASE READ THROUGH THESE AND LET US KNOW IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS OR CONCERNS.

DEPOSITS & PAYMENTS

TO CONFIRM A BOOKING WE REQUIRE A DEPOSIT OF £10 PER PERSON FOR FEAST AND£20 PER PERSON FOR NEW YEAR’S EVE. THIS SECURES THE BOOKING AND IS REDEEMABLE AGAINST YOUR BILL ON THE DAY OF YOUR EVENT. DEPOSITS CAN BE PAID BY CASH OR CARD AND ARENON-REFUNDABLE ANDNON-TRANSFERABLE.

FULL PAYMENT FOR YOUR FOOD AND DRINKS IS PAYABLE ON THE DAY OF THE EVENT BY THE PARTY ORGANISER, WE CANNOT SUPPLY SEPARATE FOOD AND DRINKS BILLS OR BILLS TO INDIVIDUALS

CHRISTMAS DAY

ALL CHRISTMAS DAY BOOKINGS REQUIRE FULL UP-FRONT PAYMENT BY THE1ST DECEMBER TO BE CONFIRMED. THIS PAYMENT IS NON-REFUNDABLE AND NON-TRANSFERRABLE. BOOKINGS CAN BE HELD PROVISIONALLY PRIOR TO THIS DATE AT OUR DISCRETION AND YOU MAY BE ASKED TO RELEASE OR CONFIRM A BOOKING AT ANY TIME IF WE HAVE OTHER CUSTOMERS READY TO CONFIRM.

BOOKINGS MADE AFTER 1 ST DECEMBER REQUIRE FULL UP FRONT PAYMENT AT THE TIME OF BOOKING.

FULL PAYMENT FOR DRINKS IS PAYABLE ON THE DAY BY THE PARTY ORGANISER.

CANCELLATIONS

SOMETIMES THINGS DON’T ALWAYS GO TO PLAN, AND WE UNDERSTAND THIS. HOWEVER, IF YOU DO NEED TO CANCEL WITH US, WE WOULD APPRECIATE IT IF YOU LET US KNOW AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. IF YOU HAVE PAID A DEPOSIT THIS IS NON-REFUNDABLE UNFORTUNATELY.

PRE-ORDERS & MENU CHOICES

FOR CHRISTMAS DAY WE REQUIRE A FULL PRE-ORDER FOR FOOD AT THE TIME OF PAYMENT WITH THE NAMES OF THE GUESTS AND THEIR FOOD CHOICES.

FOR FEAST AND NEW YEAR’S EVE BOOKINGS WE REQUIRE ANYM ENU CHOICES AT LEAST TWO WEEKS BEFORE THE BOOKING.

FOR FEAST WE ALSO RECOMMEND THAT YOU PRE-ORDER WINE OR OTHER DRINKS FOR YOUR CELEBRATION TO GUARANTEE SPECIFIC PRODUCTS AND TO MAKE IT EASIER FOR YOU,THE ORGANISER TO BUDGET AND GATHER PAYMENT FROM INDIVIDUALS IN YOUR PARTY PRIOR TO ARRIVAL.

PLEASE LET US KNOW OF ANY DIETARY REQUIREMENTS OR ALLERGIES WHEN YOU SUBMIT YOUR FOOD ORDER SO WE CAN PLAN ACCORDINGLY. IF YOU NEED INFORMATION ON ALLERGENS, PLEASE ASK AND WE WILL BE HAPPY TO PROVIDE THIS INFORMATION.

SERVICE CHARGE

PLEASE NOTE THAT FOR ALL BOOKINGS OVER 8 PEOPLE WE WILL ADD A DISCRETIONARY 10% SERVICE CHARGE TO YOUR BILL. PLEASE ASK FOR THIS TO BE WAIVED PRIOR TO YOUR BOOKING TO AVOID EMBARRASSMENT ON THE DAY

GOODBYE...

It is with a heavy heart that we have to announce that, after 5 years of The Old Grocery, we will not be renewing the lease in Hawarden.

Our industry has changed dramatically over the past couple of years and we are going to concentrate on our new venture, The Emporium Deli in Westminster Park, allowing us to focus on a more modern and relaxed interpretation of hospitality.

We would like to thank everyone who has supported us over the years and hope to see you at least one more time before we hop over the border for good.

During June and up to our Wine Tasting finale on July 13th-16th we will be offering our 5 course tasting menu on Wednesday and Thursday evenings with a complimentary glass of fizz to thank you all for your support.

Any Old Grocery vouchers will obviously be valid during this period and we will also redeem them at The Emporium Deli until the end of August giving you plenty of time to search the kitchen drawers and dust off any long forgotten hidden treasures!
